We created a set of branded communications for the Santos Tour Down Under in 2014, including a large-scale 30 meter building wrap, and multiple graphic activations throughout the event.
Santos is one of Australia’s leading companies, and supports the community through sponsorship of local events like the Tour Down Under. Our brief was to build awareness of Santos’ community support through the Tour, and increase engagement with the Santos brand through activations on-site.
We built a vibrant brand presence based around the theme of natural energy, and created a set of quirky, custom illustrations – bringing a sense of energy and fun to the event materials. The image set was both detailed and flexible, and worked alongside existing brand guidelines, adding a new layer of dimension. We created a visual suite that was applied across the board in various combinations and applications – from press ads, to building and car wraps, merchandise, social media, and on-site event activations.
Feedback from Santos after the event was extremely positive, with brand recognition reported at it’s highest levels compared with previous TDU events.
